…the rods must be bending good down around MI and GT…no updates to this forum in 3 days!!!
Heading down this weekend with some buddies. Plan to fish Flemish Cap or maybe inshore if the weatherman doesn’t get this NE pattern straightened out. Who’s been/planning to go fishin?
Not reely…Wind and surf is brutal…did get a couple reds and trout but no smack down…
I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I’m going fishing…!!
Blue Runner I’ve often felt the same way ??? Very few reports for
the number of boats in MI alone . Going tomorrow so I’ll give a
report , good or bad .
Yeah Roadie, not a lot of Chatty Cathy’s in here are we? I just thought I’d throw out a line and see if I could get any hits. Looking forward to the reports. I’ll report after this weekend, good or bad.
caught this guy a few weeks to late, in 50 ft and in 81 degree water, I thought that was a little strange…over the 2 days we managed to fill the cooler, not great but not horrible…not many people out there with such great conditions…go figure.

offshore looks dicey this weekend, I did here that some folks where hammering the kings a mile offshore around pawleys pier, but with this wind the past few days who knows…
Hey just because I’m not posting in that section doesn’t mean I’m not watching. HA HA! See you out there…19 ft cc carolina skiff with 5 expert (some are mouthy) fishermen.
Donkey I can tell you are excited about spot season! It is a great time of year to see all of those beautiful spot boats out there. Not to mention the antics at the ramp - hard to beat during spot season.
I’m excited too.
BTW, early reports are in and the spots seem to be skipping Murrells Inlet yet once again. Terrible spot fishing there…so I’ve been hearing. FYI.
Don’t be tellin all that Bull Sh** tony, you know there killin em in georgetown:wink:

p.s.s How 'bout it Jeffro…got a new big flounder pic for us?
It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!
I wish:smiley:… Was down in the keys for a week. pretty far behind on work when I got back. Haven’t been out since. Heard of a couple 11# pound flounder caught recently though! One in MI and one in Pawleys…
9/21 fishing report:
On Saltydog’s Pioneer so I have no clue where we were…until I download my phone tracking software
25-30 mile off Georgetown; 90’, shopping for bottom dwellers on the full moon.
Bottom machine lit up, but a tough day of fishing, did I mention the full moon.
Found bait at the jetties: filled the livewell with Mullet, couldn’t buy a pogie.
Once we got there the ocean was alive, saw some small kings, caught a large Spanish, and saw a small school of schoolie Dolphin swim by. Later in the afternoon we had a large school of dolphin come visiting right at the boat. We threw bucktails, chunks, spoons, and the water hose at them (per George Poveromo), couldn’t entice them to bite though they chased everything. Did I mention the really full moon?
We threw Butterfly jigs, chunks, whole mullet, half mullet, big ass Spro jigs, little Japanese bottom jigs, I didn’t have my monster Yellow bag so the only thing we didn’t try was the kitchen sink . We got BSB, Triggers, a couple of good sized AJ’s, miscellaneous trash fish and a big Tiger. Just not a lot. We were getting a good bite on the whole mullet both on 3 way swivel rigs and Carolina rigs, the 3 way a little more so. We would usually get the whole mullet back de-scaled. We’re guessing that it was grouper and they were not able to get to the hook because the mullet were too big, or we didn’t let them eat long enough. Next time we will not be leaving without pogies!

This, did he mention the full moon. And Pogies or smaller mullet and stinger hooks. Gas bill was good but the ride home sucked.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wo
9/28 - fished Little River creeks and jetties. Tough conditions, cold in the morning then warmed up nice after the clouds moved on. About an acre of mullet on the north jetty early on after low tide. Boats all over them too. Saw a few fish landed and they seemed to turn off not long after we arrived. Put some finger mullet in the well and headed back in the creek. Pulled in on a fishy looking spot, threw anchor and had a pig of a slot red (22 3/4) on the first cast before the anchor could even hang. Thought it was on…but wasn’t. Snaked around the creeks, caught a short flatty and another 14.5 keeper. Then lost a real nice one next to the boat as the net was about to go under it. Stayed pizzed about that one for a while. Went to peek at the jetties again later on and nothing really happenening there. Ate at dead dog and hung out on the walk for a while. Everbody had a good time.
