Left the dock this morning from IOP at 3 am, broke Dewees, headed south and was fishing at 6. Picked up 2 dolphin early then it kind of slowed down. We trolled north, nothing, so we picked up and ran way south. Got the lines back in and immediatley caught 3 more dolphin. And at 1pm while fighting 2 more nice dolphin (30lbs) hooked into a Blue Marlin. The fight lasted about 45 min but got him up to the boat and released, 200-250lbs blue and he put on a show for the crew. It was the first for the boat and the year not to mention our first trip out this year. So in total for the day:
1 blue marlin 200-250lbs
8 dolphin (3 slingers, 5 gaffers)
Nice work on the blue.

I was just seeing if anyone would catch it. We’ve had a few threads revived lately and it spawns like 10 new comments before someone catches on. Oh well, I guess I’m not good at these internet games.

I believe the “Wendy Anne” now resides in NC…
That boat was named after my sister. Funny to see a 5 year old post back on top of the board.
Way to keep the fisherman on their toes Sirecks!
