Good friend invited me to fish with him and some friends aboard the Cookie Monster. Great day on the water! Lines in around 7:45. Fishing almost all circles. Missed 2 mahi right off the bat to get the rust off. Didnt miss another fish the rest of the day. Ended up going 2 for 2 on sails, and I think we kept around 14 mauis give or take and let a few slingers go. All gaffers a couple pushing 30lbs plus. A lady angler on the boat got her 1st maui and sail. She was all smiles! I have a new water proof camera and have been on mission to get a bill on film under water. Capt was happy to let me go 4 a swim with the fishes and it was awsome! The pic where the sail is swimming strait at me was wild! Prob only about 5ft away! Pucker factor was high to say the least! I cant say enough about the Capt and mate on this trip. They put in more effort than any other charter I have ever fished. Capt didnt let anything go unseen and the mate busted his but all day even with the help we provided. He was feeding fish left and right. Great guys! Oh yea, saw a white or 2 free jumping as well. All in all one of the best fishing trips I have ever been on and ended up making some great new friends in process. Awsome day! Hope I get these pics right on the first shot.
Pm, thanks again man, and Ill be shooting the rest of the pix out asap. Ill make sure big boy gets them 2 you.
Rich, Ill be doing it every time the opportuntiy presents itself from now on. That was more fun than reeling them in. Prob would have turned out better but I had the camera on the wrong setting. Didnt realize it I hit the water so quick when they said go.
That is so cool. I can’t believe you jumped in the water with that thing. I’m sure the pucker factor was off the charts when that thing came at you. What an experience!! Congrats!!
The pics are so small, but the first one is my favorite…
I wonder why??? Could it be the cory or the chesticles?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Good on em’ BoCat… once again nice job on the stick fish, as well as the meat. Those fellas that get to do it every day make it look easy. Hopefully you picked up a trick or two to add to the arsenal.
Oooh Yea - glad you didnt have to put the PATENTED Mexican face grab on that sail.
I never get tired of seeing pictures of slobberknockers… What a nice dolhpin!!!

No thanks... Chesticles are like oysters... The local ones are preferred unless they are out of season and then you need to import some...
