Been there… I love to scout, but it can be frustrating when searching for tailers, finding a “perfect” looking flat, and finding none. I probably spent 2 yrs scouting before finding a flat and even that flat does not produce large numbers of tailers. Had a mentor point me to a “real” flat and was amazed at how many tails in the air. Its still cool to look around and observe the life on a flat when all is quiet. Crabs climbing the grass to feed on periwinkles, bait fish, etc. Doesn’t get much more peaceful. Keep on scouting!
I also plan to hit the flats soon and get my first tailer of the year. Good luck man

Yell my way man, we can exchange some flies and catch a few together. My “secret flat” holds hundreds of fish, it’s nothing to see 30-40 tails when we go. That is no fish tale or should a I say tail.
