I love the new Kayak:smiley:. trolling motor setup worked better and faster than expected (but not something i can see me using all the time),so did the anchor trolley system. went to Bushy park, got one 12in. flounder on DD grub (thats what iām calling it} right off the rip. Then eventually ended up with 4 sting ray(big pain, all swallowed hook),2 small catfish, and one 10in trout, and a couple of sun fried legs.
i got 1 broken rod, trolling to close to crab traps. Also got to meet Cutmullet, which was cool. Paddled up into the back of little creek, and got my cardio workout when i came up on a couple of big Gators, i immediately went the other way, not over that fear yet.
It was a great 1st time out, looking forward to trying some other spots (going to try to get into beresford next) hopefully can meet up w/ some more of Yaāll on here soon. only complaint is to move my scotty a little closer, iām shorter than i thoughtā¦
I have been to bushy park 3 times now and only hooked one giant red that broke my rodā¦some small bite but no fish in the yak yet ( I gotta get the skunk off it ) maybe I should be following you around.
Iāll be on leave all of June so weāll have to link up and hit the park. Whaddya think Bassn?
