I had a flat bottom years ago. We did really well in the Kiawah river. Shark fishing around the mouth , and flounder trout and reds around the oyster beds. If I had your boat I would go there for sure. It’s not a fun ride to the reef in a Carolina skiff. That boat really doesn’t like big water.
