Being a beginner kayaker, was wondering if they make some sort of seat that would avoid my rear end from getting soaked. It seems when i hit some waves or just water dripping i get a puddle in my seat and have to sit in it the rest of the day. Any suggestions or ideas. Was thinking of drilling a hole somewhere but not sure.
A # of people here on this + other sites have recommended seats from http://www.surftosummit.com/

You don’t want to drill a hole to drain the seat, that water would just wind up in the hull… definitely not where you want it.
The surf to summit seat is one of the most confortable aftermarket seats out htere. The thickness of the foam means a good bit of water has to accumulate before you get wet.
This time of year you’re going to want some waterproof protection.

Chest waders from Cabela’s? Works for me.
I thought about waders, but am worried about being able to swim in them. (Thinking worst case of course)
If you’re worried about not being able to swim, just wear some floaties.
These are what I use:

I have the Disney’s Toy Story ones.
Stock up on some Anti-Monkey Butt Powder too I wear waders in the colder months. Wear a wading belt and if I do take a swim, don;t panic, swim over to the bank/shell bank/landing/dock and unclip them, get out of the water and they will turn themselves inside out, get your self sorted out, put on your dry clothes in the dry bag you ALWAYS take wiht you in colder months and fish on…

good advice there from the jedi. It’s time to start carrying a dry bag with a towel and some warm clothes. I wear neoprene waders and a semi dry top through the winter.

Ok, what would be wrong with @ Dive Suit, whatever mil you prefer.
May look @ little Gay but was wondering if yall have tried this.
wet suits work best when wet, but they will work. I prefer being toasty and dry tho.
