Left the jetties & the ocean did’nt look that bad - but for a 25 cc it was rather sporty. I learned that there’s something I don’t like about sea water going up my nose at a high rate of speed. I fished with the Super Fly & his son on his boat. Started trolling in 145’ & crossed the ledge at about 7:45 am. We had a sail appear behind a bait just for him to bat it around w/ no hookup. Next customer was a shark that nailed the outrigger. In 330’ we spotted a weedline & a Coburg milk crate floating along & hooked up 3 gaffers. We worked the area several more passes & nothing. We tried to troll south to improve the ride home with no strikes. Around noon we returned to the ledge & caught a 25 lb wahoo , another dolphin & a king. Bottom fished around the 350 rock & caught our limit of federaly endangered red porgys - 2 grouper & a trigger. The ride in was sloppy & soaking- but beat doing yard work.
