When my wife planned a “girl’s weekend” and I found out that my friend Captain Chris Morrison was in the area, I booked him for a father daughter trip for this past Sunday. Including my friend Huger and two of his three of his daughters that could go, we left from IOP marina that morning.
After catching live bait we departed about 8 am. Chris got us on the fish and after a move or two, the bottom EXPLODED with bites of multiple varieties. Chris guides primarily out of Marathon, FL but is from McClellanville. He knows FISHING!
Headed home around 3 pm with a “cooler full” a picture speaks a 1000 words, as they say!
Man, I WISH I were going with you!! You shoulda seen the fight both my and Huger’s cobia put up. Of course, when I caught mine it was HUGE. In typical McClellan fashion, later Pap “trumped” mine. 54 lbs.!!
