What boat should I get?

I was hoping you guys could help me choose a boat. I would mainly use the boat in Charleston Harbor and at the Jetties, but i would like to be able to take it offshore to the reefs comfortably. Thank you for the help.

There are a lot of boats out there that would fit your needs. Might want to narrow the use down, set the budget and decide what you’ll use it for 95% of the time. Then go look at everything near your budget, kick the tires, spin the prop and go for a ride. If they only want to give you a ride after you’ve agreed to buy it like some there in Chas, run away.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Thanks for the help saltydog235

I do not think you can go wrong with a Sea Hunt.

Smb, youre going to hear all kinds of responses. Most of them will be guys recommendimg the boat they own. One of the best boats I owned for the harbor and jetties was a key west. It was a little bit of a wet ride but low maintenance and well built. Ive since moved up to a mako. Bigger and heavier but it is just plain awesome out in the harbor. Buy something that you drive first. Take it out around the grillage where its usually pretty choppy and see how it rides.
