What did I See?

Fished yesterday at Paradise. I was exploring a mud flat on the rising tide tide, water was 1-2 feet deep and about 53 degrees and crystal clear. I came across two schools of 50-100 small fish around 6-8 inches. They stayed in very tight schools as I followed them. At first I thought they were small mullet, but they were not the slightest bit shiny.

Is it possible these where school of baby redfish?

Probably mullet
