What did you catch in 2011?

Had a fun 2011. Offshore usually in 2020cc Key West, once or twice in a few larger vessels :stuck_out_tongue:, Inshore usually in a 17’Whaler but also every now and then in a freinds beautiful boat, but even once or twice in a 17’ John Boat, as well as some freshwater. I think I may have actually taken people fishing and put them on more fish than myself. (not quite, but pretty close) Always have people coming into town, or even people local wanting to go, so I love the look on people faces when they catch their first fish or their first redfish. Had a great year.

Well, when we brought him in the boat, which, as you can was not very large, stuff started going every where in the heat of the mone,t and somehow, the Hoo gotahold of the bottle and decided to try and eat it. We left it in there for fun.

P.S. Actually it was our secret lure.

Only odd thing I caught was not really a catch, unless you count the cast net. But caught a baby 'Cuda in the cast net in the Cooper. Actually, Hairball threw the net, but I was there. Lol. Helped my youngest son (15) catch a 28" redfish on one day and a 36" redfish the next. Caught very few flounder and Black drum this year and few trout. But the redfish have been consistent. Caught a bunch of juvy BSB at the jetties and 2 spiny dogfish @ around 44" +/-. A good year all in all. Looking forward to 2012.

That’s pretty cool. Was it aggressive or did it try to bite?

He fought fairly well for a turtle (kind of flounder like) and really got pissed when I tried to get the hook out. He’s got quite a beak as you can see.
