Took my girls parents out yesterday eve for a quick trip. They’ve been coming to Charleston (from TN) for years and love to fish,but never catch anything. Loaded up on shrimp and had lines in around 530 yesterday evening in the upper wando…it was non stop action till dark. Nothing huge, but lots of fish and lots of variety…the parents were so excited about the entire trip. Caught a lot of lower slot reds, jumped countless ladyfish,landed maybe 6or8, lots of trout right at 14", released them, 1 13.9" flounder, 1 nice black drum (we ate him last night), and…2 sheepshead!! All at the same spot, all on equalizers…i would say they are spoiled…but with years of not catching anything in Charleston, they appreciated every bite/fish. The girls caught the two sheeps…and most of the fish for that matter…quality wasn’t the best, but variety was great and caught well over 50 fish in a few hours…mission accomplished. All on live shrimp under an equalizer. Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
