Negative, I’m currently in the process of taking trout remains and soaking them in water to magically turn into a dozen blue crabs for tonights dinner…
First trout I’ve kept this year.

10-4 on that, but I quit doing it as my silly dog loves to dig em up. I now just throw all remains in the pond.
Nice Fish.
Once pulled a 5" flounder out of a flounder.
Last year I had a 26" red while on the line fighting throw up a 7-9" mullet after eating my 4" one that I caught him on…I was like WTF lol
“you win some, you lose some…but nothing beats getting some!”
Reds will eat anything that swims and can fit in their mouths…
This was July 2010…found him in the ICW floating belly up.
what was that in his mouth?
Is that a BSB? Nice trout BTW, i always thought the big ones ate any other legal sized trout, and that thats why i only catch 13"ers!
Terrapin.
I saw a big red on top.Netted him and he had a live cat fish. The catfish had his side stingers wedged.i cut the catfish loose and he swam off the red i let go.

Female diamondback terrapin, the shell got wedged and the red choked to death on it.
Sent the pictures in to DNR at the time and they seemed to appreciate them as theres not a lot of data on natural mortality of large reds. They said this case was an anomaly though.
On another note, about five or six years ago several of us wading a flat watched a mouse crawling along at the waters edge get eaten by a red… That was a sight! Never would have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.
…and crabs are the rats? no offense Penny lol

Brother in law caught a 20" flounder a couple years ago and his first thought was…“man this thing looka a little thin”…but looked to have food in its throat. When he cleaned it it had a golf ball lodged in its throat. Guess it trout it was a nice yummy turtle egg huh? ;).

George: So I started to walk into the water. I won’t lie to you boys, I was terrified! But I pressed on and as I made my way passed the
breakers a strange calm came over me. I don’t know if it was divine
intervention or the kinship of all living things but I tell you Jerry
at that moment I was a marine biologist!
Elaine: George I was just reading this thing in the papers, it’s amazing!
George: I know I was just telling them the story.
Kramer: Come on George, finish the story.
George: The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to return soup at a deli!
(Jerry gives Kramer a “what the h-” glance)
George: I got about fifty-feet out and then suddenly the great beast
appeared before me. I tell ya he was ten stories high if he was a
foot. As if sensing my presence he gave out a big bellow. I said,
“Easy big fella!” And then as I watched him struggling I realized
something was obstructing his breathing. From where I was standing
I could see directly into the eye of the great fish!
Jerry: Mammal.
George: Whatever.
Kramer: Well, what did you do next?
George: Then from out of nowhere a huge title wave lifted, tossed like a cork and I found myself on top of him face to face with the blow-hole. I could barely see from all of the waves crashing down on top of me but I knew something was there so I reached my hand and pulled out the obstruction!
Kramer: What is a Titleist? A hole in one eh.
