I have been contemmplating a couple kayaks and just can’t seem to pull the trigger. always been a boat fisherman. one thing i can’t figure out is what do you do with the fish after you catch it? there is not a live well. do you put them on a stringer? Do you worry about sharks or gaters attacking the fish on a stringer? or do you mainly catch and release?
I put mine on a stringer, others use a fish bag.

I use just a regular cooler with rod holders atached to it. If i have that loaded down with food/beer or whatever my malibu has a live well right inbetween my legs. Dont use it all the time because it adds a little extra weight, but it sure has come in handy. Makes a great bait tank too.
All fishermen are liers except me and you and I’m not sure about you.
I used a stringer until it got hit by a shark now I use a soft cooler/food bag.

I use a soft cooler with ice right behind my seat easy to catch, measure & throw in the ice the first time I used a stringer I got tagged by a shark that was the first & last time

I use a soft sided cooler from Sam’s club - a couple 1 gallon bags of ice lasts all day
I put fish in a Kitchen garbage bag - just so all my drinks ++ don’t taste like fish
Never used a stringer here in salt water

I aways use a stringer until I have too many to pull around, then it’s cooler time for them. I carry some freezer packs which can be a buffer between fish and drinks/food. I fish Murrells Inlet or Pawleys virtually 100% of the time, the only place sharks are likely to be trouble are the MI jetties where I wouldn’t use a stringer. But I have decided my kayaking at the MI jetties days are over, I can normally do just as well in the creek and it’s a lot easier and safer too.
As far as securing fish I found flounder very problematic until I got almost ridiculous about it. The only foolproof way I have found to not have one get away is get the stringer through the flounder while it is still in the net, even before I even remove the hook. Anything else, I have lost them one way or another. Forgot my net one day, lost a great one at the boat. Next time out, brought the net and then had a 20" or so go in my cooler head first and “swim” out the top head first and over the side into the water so fast it would make your head spin. That did it. Have not lost one in 6 or 7 years since I modified my routine.
I recently picked up a new engel cooler with 4 rod holders attached. It is a 30 qt and has latches on the lid. I plan on putting my fish in a plastic bag (to prevent any exposure to food/drinks) and tossing them in the cooler.
