I usually use the Shimano Sustain’s, Stradic, and Symetre, but I found these on sale for $60 each for the 5000 and 4000 sizes here in Okinawa, Japan. The 2500 was $50. The 4000 and the 5000’s are about the same as a 4000 size in the USA–just a hair smaller. I did a little research, and all of it says the Shimano ELF is very similar to the Stradic. $290 for 5 brand new Shimano ELF reels.
What do you guys think?
I’m gonna pair the 5000’s and the 4000 up with 7ft St Croix med Heavy inshore rods, and the 2500 will be paired up with a GLoomis GL2 med light extra fast.
I think it was a pretty good deal. I would like to see what you guys think.
Oh…Dad brought the boat home from the storage at the Hwy 41 bridge. I bought a 22’W X 31’ L X 10’ H Carport for the boat to go under. She is home for good now. Although it was safe at the storage at the landing, I still feel better with it being home. I put the carport at Dad;s place because his place is on the way to the river, and my house is 30 minutes farther North at the edge of Andrews. That way, I don’t have to pull the boat very far to the river. Dad’s place is only 8 miles from the river, and he wanted a carport in that spot anyway over the fish cleaning table and the deer gambrel.
