This is probably the longest, not necessarily the biggest, red i think i have caught. We never weighed him or measured him. Just a quick pic and back in. How long do yall think it is?

Get the tape measure out and stand with your hands in the same position, then add 3" for the tail.
Once they hit 40", it doesnt matter anymore.
Your in the big bull range.

Nice catch. They fight differently than the 30" reds. Not as fast, but just as bull headed.
