What do you use to soften a net

I haven’t noticed knots slipping on the old nets. But, I am sure Tim is right - softening a new new would cause slippage.

I usually order a new Tim Wade net every year, but maybe not this year as I am po/broke. There is no need to do anything to new nets - they open great as is.

Never tried it, but based on mineral deposits, etc. in the net, my idea may not be too far off base. Soak the net in distilled water for a few days and then hang to dry. DW is cheap at the grocery store.

From there shoot some Real Magic on it for line conditioning. Not proven or tested, but I believe it will help.

beware too much fabric softener if you hold the net in your teeth, the taste seems to stay forever

Yep, I told my wife to quit washing hers in that junk… And come to find out, might not have been the fabric softener after all… Not something I want to discuss now.

Disgusting as it is, If the GOP can’t get their act together, the liberal army will put her right in the White House.
