was talkin to my buddy up in columbia a few minutes ago, and he said somethin about people catchin stipers on the fly right now cause they are schoolin up on the lake? anyone got any suggestions on patterns to tie (i know a clouser will prob be it, but what colors and weight eyes do yall recommend?) I can catch the reds down here in charleston, but i have never caught a striper on the fly. I know it would be an awesome fight. Thanks for any suggestions.

i don’t know scotty we saw a handful of boats with platforms during the fall blitz on Hartwell last year, its catchin on! Yea this time of year man those big girls are eatin big baits gettin ready to attempt to spawn, so stick with 4/0 - 6/0 flies if you want a big one, otherwise, a clouser will keep you hooked up with hybrids and schoolies all day.
