What happened to the tide?

Went out looking for tails a few Saturdays ago. Thought for sure tide would be high enough (Oct. 5) based on previous experience at same tidal prediction but the water never came in. Wind was blowing not too bad at all but from the northeast. What happened where did I go wrong?

It was the government shut down, didn’t you hear about it:question::wink:

We experienced the same lack of water height the weekend of Oct 17 (Full Moon). Two friends from Memphis flew in and could not present the fly to the reds in the grass as the grass above the water made this all but impossible. I asked Mr Jerry Baldwin of Bennett’s point and he did not have an answer. We did manage to catch a bunch of trout, despite the dingy water. Bob

Yes, that was wrong…

Jeffro pulled a big flounder out of the water.

It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!

All jokes aside I think these two links may explain why some tides are higher or lower than other times at the same moon phase.
