I tried to get connected with the East Cooper guys and they were shutting it down. Commented as such in their forum here.

Times are changing. It’s a different day in age I guess. Everyone seems happy to use facebook groups and such instead. I know Summerville Saltwater Anglers is still doing well along with the Stono River Fishing Club. Both of these clubs are made up of some great people and still go strong.

Hanahan Fishing Club is getting revamped and hopefully meeting this month. I’ll update after this weekend.

The drive is worth it for the Summerville Club, a lot of members that love fishing and love their club too.

Stono is great have a bunch of members that have been with the club for a while.

The Lady Anglers do a great job too but yeah …

Got2Go keep me posted about Hanahan Club

It was a tough decision on the ECFC shutting down. We couldn’t really find people that were able to step up and run the club, getting guest speakers, planning events and such. The guy that did it for the past 5+ years or so ran out of gas to keep going up current.

I made some great friends being in a fishing club…I’d suggest joining one.

It’s too bad there aren’t any places like North Area Tackle Shop or Bennie’s Tackle Shop where fishermen could go and meet up. I think it would be a successful business if someone did it right.
