What have you done for your fishery today?

I just sent in a check to the RFA-PAC (Recreational Fishing Alliance Political Action Committee). This is above and beyond my basic membership.

If you are not a member of this group who protects your rights to fish, then you might want to think about joining before it’s too late. These guys have a seat at the table and speak on your behalf.

With the amount of money you spend on fishing each year, this little bit of “insurance” for $25 is just a drop in the bucket and it’s the least we can do if we are not willing to put in the time.

I signed up for a 3 year membership a couple of months ago. Kind of thinking that people who fish on my boat should also be members.

I got so frustrated with people not being Sea Tow/towboat US members a few years ago I started carrying a stack of their business cards and when people needed help I would hand it to them, after I helped. I like helping fellow boaters but can’t stand when someone doesn’t support the people who help make it possible. I actually need another stack of those business cards now.

I have been a member for a few years now, and I just received one of their new shirts for a tiny $20 donation. Small price (membership) to pay if it will help in the war against those gov. idiots!!

I am also an RFA member and went to the SAFMC smoke blowing session in Raleigh last night.

What a collosal waste of time that turned out to be.

Well in 2012 we are looking at potentially a 1 BSB per person at 13 inches limit and for 2013 NO SEASON AT ALL

That should be great for the coastal fishing communities. It’s all decided by a bunch of morons who couldn’t work a level wind reel.

Looks like you will have to get in line at the G’town hole to troll for the next couple of years:roll_eyes:

I picked up trash and beer cans along the river and pulled out a half sunken boat with my son and a couple of his friends. Then I took them all fishing. That is what you should be doing for the future of our fishery. Pass it on!!!

That will be a pretty refuge one day when the government takes away our rights to fish.
