I read a story a few years back of a guy in a kayak catching a huge Muskie in the Broad River. (Covid shutdown, if I recall)

As the story went, the fish would have established a record for Muskie, in S.C.

Busted the record for N.C. and most likely topped the world record, according to length, girth estimates, but, was released.

fixin’ to fix supper… …

.

back burner stuff for now

I’d rather be laying pipe, but for today it’s rock.

Closing in on this project

It’s like a big puzzle with no picture on the box to go by, lol

Hey @EF1, don’t obsess with making the stones fit like a puzzle.

Just chip the small/medium stones to fit where you want them to go, around the larger pieces .

I hear you, but my OCD and overall anal retentiveness refuses to let me see any blue block when standing back.

I’ll have to “chink” in some stuff I know, and I haven’t played with cultured stone since Regan got shot, so there’s that.

Send prayers, lol. My hands are cramping

Opening day bonus

The early bird gets the worm?

MN, pretty auto 5 and a beautiful day for a shoot!

Did y’all have them flying in good? How many you get?

My opening day is this Saturday for a public land hunt. Thinking Santee Dam since I’ve had some good hunts there. I love pass shooting but I don’t get many opportunities and I’m not very good at it

My little one turns 10 next week, so I’m prepping to smoke pork for her party on Sunday

There’s a secret ingredient of course

we started shooting at 1:30, and were still shooting at 6:00 pm.

we always stop the hunt at 6:00, to give the birds a chance to feed,

Got my limit early.

Hunting a WMA field, in Laurens, Saturday.

Good luck on your hunt!!

That’s not an A-5, by the way. It’s a B-2000, full choke. Going back to a full choke, instead of varying chokes in my Silver Pigeon, has improved my wing shooting immensely!

This pic is from another Club Hunt I was invited to, near Sugar Tit. Morning hunt, I didn’t make it.

20 guns, 230 birds harvested.

just spoke to Club owner in Townville, where I shot Monday.

375 harvested, 30 guns.

Coming up on, almost, close to, near, or about halfway covered.

Fishing next week, so this project goes back on the back burner again.

so anyway, Rock On

Thank ya sir, same to you!

Never knew about the B2000, stopped making them the year before I was born.

That’s one heck of a pile of birds, I’ll be happy to knock down a few tomorrow!

MN knows some stuff
That full choke advice is a pro tip
