Wish I had thought of it

It doesn’t happen to me much personally, but yesterday was just too hot to fish. looks like today is too, plan B in effect

It’s literally Africa hot today in NC, I can only imagine how hot it is in the holy city.

I did see some big trout dried out yesterday at the landing, so they’re here. I just don’t hate them that much, lol.

“Nibblin on spongecake,
Watchin the sun bake,
All of those tourists covered in oil…”

It is hawt, fo sho.

Anybody remember Fiddla Crab?

So, what is a group of fiddlers called? A herd? A gang? A mess? A gaggle? A bunch?

That’s the most I’ve seen in a long time, unfortunately. Used to be kinda normal.

That’s as many as Ive ever seen too.

There were some cops there looking around, said some crabbers found a dead body there two days ago. That might have something to do with it.

I asked the cops why they waited so long to be checking it out and they said the crabbers just told them about it.

I said what? WTF???

They said yeah, the crabbers wanted to get a couple more pickings off it before telling anyone else, lol

These down east NC folks are a whole different breed

Stay cool

Uh, yeah, WTH?

Seriously, it could be the Jubilee thing that @barbawang was talking about in the other thread. Er?

This is all interesting and disturbing.

Fiddlers are definitely a herd. At least that’s what we called them in the 80’s when we’d put a couple 2x4’s in the high marsh as a funnel and herd them to the bucket man

A day of bait in seconds!

We would put in at that landing right before you get to folly beach.
Go south and take the first creek to the right
Catch all you want and the left hand bank was solid enough to walk on
I can’t believe how much my boys pay for them!
Of course
This was before traffic

I used to give the kids in the Edisto neighborhood a dime for every fiddler they’d bring me.

I paid a couple of kids once $100 for about a half of a 5 gallon bucket, after that I had to put a 250 limit on them, they were breaking me up, lol

Same here. Interesting and disturbing.

Thanks for what you and @Optiker do. It’s very much needed and appreciated. Let me know if there’s some way to help.

I’m back in the club

I thought the Canadians weren’t coming this year?
