Blowing the tops off of 4 foot breakers today so not a fishing day
Looks like steak night, lol. I’ve never had an elk tomahawk cut, thanks so much @23sailfish . This thing looks awesome. Great hunt

Can we get a jealous emoji?
I feel like such a slacker, compared to y’all.
I’ve been working on the land, trying to get our house built, pond dug, driveway put in, kids, grandkids, critters, etc. It’s a lot, but I’m not complaining. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Here’s the pond.
Driveway.
Newest grandson, Jack. He’s a beast, just like his Poppy.
Critters, Lewis and Clark. My little explorers and best buddies. Lewis is the cat.
That Jack looks like a happy boy, and the pond looks very envious to me.
good stuff
The land, the animals, and the legacy look really good. You should be proud!
420 pinfish to every pompano, maybe more

Nothing better than sitting on a tractor!
God’s country
The low country of South Carolina, specifically the ACE Basin, is truly Gods country.
He does however spend his vacations up here
We took the boat to Pigeon Point landing near Sheldon to explore some new waters on Monday and while way back in the skinny water past a bridge or two, we found a flock of Rosette Spoonbills numbering about 30. I had never seen that many together and it sure was something.
Hey @sman , I was thinking of you yesterday. Remember when you grabbed that possum by the scruff? Good stuff
Anyway, this is a black bear den and yesterday when I was checking it out I was hoping I didn’t get grabbed by my scruff, lol
She’s been in there, it stinks like a pissy dog bed, my best explanation.
So I had my 9, but would have felt better with a 44 mag, or maybe with you and those welding gloves.
I’ve officially checked my last den. That’s a deal for a a younger knot head.
Yeah
I can’t do that kind of stuff anymore
Fell through a beaver dam yesterday looking for a wounded deer
Then walked over a big copperhead.
The guy behind me let out a yell that bout gave me a heart attack
I’m staying at the truck from now on.haha
Got a lowcountry friend up there now, said same low again tonight… good weather to be a bear with a naturally insulated roof over your head. Or a guy with a brand new kickass outdoor fireplace.
Them tater patches down bottom do much for those boys this year?
My sweet potato vines are still going, we’ve bottomed out at 50 on the coldest nights here right at the coast, this last week gave us the lowest temps in a good 5 months
