Back to the south looking for warmer water. Warm water was not found.
Water was cold inshore - 53 degrees - and did not get above 60 until over 100 feet. Even at 200 feet it was only 68ish. Spring is not really here yet.
No wahoo again but did catch some fish.
For the something different every time example, on March 7 caught in 67 degree water:
This guy did not read his calendar. Found one and no others near a nice rip with some weeds. Hope to find that same rip in late-April. Sharp but only one-degree temp change on the rip.
The rip had many hundreds of phalaropes along it. More concentrated than usual, must be some good little things for them to eat in the weed.
Weather looks pretty good this coming week, will try to get out again and bottom fish.
