What is this??

Headed out of Sol Legare early on the 4th to beat the rush. Fished Bass and Abbapoola creeks. Boated 2 nice upper slot reds than I hooked into something big. At first I thought it was a big shark by the way it fought. Stayed out from the boat at the surface and making large swings and runs. Then this is what I saw. Never seen one before. Thought it was some kind of ray but it looks more like an Atlantic Angle Shark. Sorry best picture I could take by myself.

A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.

Cownose Ray.

Opps, +1 on what rthensley said.

Agree on cownose ray.

X4 on the cownose. They are pretty athletic fighters, sometimes even jump.
