has anyone found a good light that clamps on the grab rail of a center console? something battery powered preferably. i have used those cheap lights from lowes that you wire up to a battery, but wanting to get something that does not have a wire running to a battery. the less crap i have on the deck the better.
thanks
Blazer ATV spotlight… I have a pair of them mounted on the top of my grab bar. I point one on the deck and use the other to find the poles. Mine are 5 years old not in the best shape but they still work. They throw plenty of light and since they use 35watt bulbs they dont kill your battery. $20 well spent.

We got ours from tractor supply or nothern tool. I think they’re suppose to be tractor lights(they’re led) You’d have to rig up some kind of camp since it just has a bolt coming off, but that shouldn’t be hard. It works really nice for us. We have to put a sock over it to keep it from blinding us at night. It seems like it was $50-60 for the metal housing one.
I use a 18watt Cree light it’s LED barely draws any juice and is super bright . I wanna say a little over 1800 lumens I riged it to a 1/2 inch pipe clamp and just clamped it to my grab rail. I didn’t run new wire to battery for it I just tied into one of my hot wires under console and wired in a toggle switch I love it plenty of light , waterproof and will prolly last 20years being an LED. I also made one that fits into the plug on the bow where the running lights go to see poles with no spot lights needed to find poles with.

I’ve found that I prefer headlamps over mounted spots.
I haven’t tried it but I bet you could mount a small headlamp and the battery pack with that removable 3M 2 sided tape stuff. Put it wherever you have a smooth surface.

I have a telescopic painters pole the big yellow fiberglass one. I mounted a aluminum construction DC light on it and put it in the center console rod holder and plug it in my cigarette lighter plug on the console and when we run it at night we extend it really high and I have light for the deck and driver. we can see the poles for my wife to drive up on and all that…

X2 on the LED headlamps. No overhead light needed as it will scatter the shrimp in shallower water. If you can find the red LED headlamps, even better
