Can’t go wrong with a Stradic. Put a Shimano on a Shimano. I have 2500s on my my falcon rods and never had any problems.

I have had a hard time answering a similar question lately. All of my rods have Shimano Symetre’s. I have a couple of the older 2500’s and several of the newer 3000’s.
Each time I get a new rod I try to convince myself to upgrade to a Stradic. I can’t see, or find a difference in the specs in any way, so I keep buying the Symetre’s. I have never had a problem with any of them and they fish great! Drag is real smooth, bail is smooth, and the action is awesome. The 3000’s are the same size as the 2500’s and hold more line, great upgrade.
Can anyone tell my why, or convince me to upgrade one or two of my reels to a Stradic? I would really like to know if it is worth the extra $$. A buddy of mine fishes only Stradics, but he seems to have more problems than I do, so I stick with my reliable Symetre.
