Is this a standard or easy to acquire hose and tank setup?
Yes it’s easy. Most any WalMart will have it. By a standard Attwood (or whatever brand) tank. You will sea threads on the tank for a similar looking (to the one pictured) male evinrude/johnson fuel adapter (usually made completely from brass). The hose assembly can be bought pre-assembled at WalMart as well and will have two corresponding female ends. It is very easy to figure this out once you get to the marine isle and look at what is available.

Bring your boat by our shop. I’ll make you a new line, and have a bunch of used tanks I would sell for cheep.
Plus we can test to see if that fitting on the motor leaks. I’ll have you out the door in less then 30mins

Do that soulfixinman. Sounds easy and like a good deal. I wish forums with helpful people existed when I first started messing with boats and motors.

Also, never buy anything Attwood for your fuel line, NEVER. OEM for fuel ALWAYS. Lessons learned the hard way for me.

Do away with the fitting and run the line to the filter!
Stumpnocker is right about that, stay away from Attwood fuel parts especially their primer bulbs! Junk, it will fail and it will not be at an opportune time or place. Experience talking here.

I agree that the OEM fuel line assemblies are much better, but I have never went wrong with an Attwood fuel tank. I have owned several in the past. All of them lasted forever and never a problem. I constantly inspect my fuel line and primer bulb no matter what brand it is. They all eventually succumb to the sun.
