Hope you got your concrete poured…
It’s going to be a sloppy mess after this weekend
We did. That pic was around 5:00 last evening.
Finishers were done around 10:00 last night.
Short by 1/2 a yard, or so. We’ll catch it on the next pour.
If my posts on these jobs are causing anyone a bit of heartburn, let me know. I’ll stop. I just thought there was some interest, so I keep going.
Last time I poured a slab, concrete was fifty dollars a yard. How much is it now?
200 +, when you include fuel surcharges, environmental surcharges, and another one, or two…
It’s still the same ol’ concrete, but, never let a good “excuse” to gouge the Consumer go to waste!
Thanks for posting. Sure would like to see it thru to include inside work…
Nice work.

Heartburn? You are crazy dude. keep em coming.
Love seeing barns and houses going up.
Go buy groceries on a rainy day…
Some pics I ran across while trying to add to Bobs Old Memories thread.
Again, sorry for the orientation!
That’s pretty cool. I had some property that had a building on it like that.
MN, serious question. What is the lifespan of direct burial of those 6 x 6 posts nowadays??
I know you do what is wanted. I’ve heard the new whitewood method sucks, but putting in concrete helps??
I’m working on a plan for bardominiam. Coworker sent me pics of his and they actually poured concrete pedestals that extend a couple feet above ground with steel bracket embedded in it to bolt 6 x 6 to…pretty slick to me.
Pricey for that but last forever it would seem??
Thanks
NN
Man, all I want is a small workshop in my backyard but my wife’s pool is where it should be. I don’t begrudge her at all as she swims everyday when it is warm and really enjoys it but, I sure would enjoy a workshop.
You run a saltwater system or chemicals? I started with the salt water a few years ago. Works really great until it doesn’t. I got my new Salt Chlorine Generator in last week and will probably install this weekend. Our pool is a love / hate relation ship with me. Mostly hate. I always get stuck maintaining it.
Started years ago using something called Baquacil (peroxide base) and it was great the first 3 years. Then I started getting algae bloom BAD. Got bad advice from one pool place so went to another who convinced me to try chlorine. Was reluctant but did so and it has been great. If done right, no smell, and I have had no issues since.
If you only knew how true that is.
Considering your crew… I thought the Mexican music was funny as heck…
I had to go back and look again cuz I didn’t have volume the first time.
Years ago James Thorogood was playing at the After Deck .
Fella was hitting on one of my guys’s girl and then got a little handsy. Kenny knocked his ass out.
Then somebody else thought they were going to jump in from behind. Someone hit him with a pool stick. They called a ambulance for the guy that got hit by the pool stick so the cops come. Bouncers scene everything and was cool with it. So Kenny didn’t leave. Buuuutttt. He did with the cops.
We got home about 2:30 his girl had blown up are answering machine.
Called her back told her to put him some work clothes together. I would get him in the morning. Back then you could bond out and didn’t have to wait till the next day for the judge. For simple stuff. Always told everyone I’m not getting until the next day. And your azz is going to work.
Got the guys started and then went and got him. Took his azz to work.
Oh and the guy that whacked the fellow with the pool stick had sense enough to leave.
Progress report.
