your pond didn’t overflow and wash out all the fish like mine did? I know I lost all my grass carp!
Pretty fish, been a while since I caught a bass. Out of curiosity, what kind of knot and line is that?
How do you rig those jig heads so perfectly EVERY TIME?
Oh, and additional props to you, now that you’re a published author, sort of…

boatpoor - these ponds we were at are most definitely overflowing now I would think. That part of town is in bad shape rn (around hwy 61)
millacd - that’s just my usual inshore setup; 10 lb PowerPro green tied with a palomar knot.
BB - huh?

I can never seem to get jig heads perfectly placed in arties when I use them. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
And I read an article in either Tidelines or the Coastal Angler that featured Ralph Phillips, another fella and yourself. Very good and informative article. Cool to see guys on here featured in fishing publications.

BB, maybe I can help you with the jig assembly…The Z-man guy explained it to me like this(especially with zman super stretchy baits)…once you’ve measured where the hook with protrude through the bait and slip the bait up the hook… hold the hook in one hand and pinch the “collar” or end of the bait and pull up and stretch it up all the way over the jig head with the other hand (if you think you pulled it too far, you haven’t!! ,lol, it will stretch back) and the bait will somewhat slip back and sit pretty on the jig. Sometimes you have to repeat as needed. This has helped me a lot with my jig rigs. Hope it helps you too.

First time bass fishing in a while. Even caught a little guy on the fly (frog popper).
Fish tremble at the sound of my name.
Right on, Connor!
