So yesterday the girlfriend and I were at California Dreaming for an early dinner, dock was packed as usual. A light blue bay boat 19ft or so leaves then the wife pulls back up but behind my boat to pick the rest of the family up. Between the wind, lack of driving ability and whatever else their boat rubs against mine and the boat i was tied to. I was watching so i walked out I see my motor which now gouged and scratched and let the family know that its my boat and they hit it. After profusely denying it they quickly leave. I untie and follow to get the hull numbers (SC 2401 BW). Is there anything that i can do with these numbers to report it? I mean sh** happens, but sorry goes a long way.
File a police report?

Yea, get the cops involved. Might want to call California Dreaming and see if they have security footage of it too.

All to often these days people are not taking responsibility for their actions . Really makes you wonder if common sense and common decency has really gone to the wayside.

Someone told me the other day that common sense and critical thinking skills are our nation’s real national debt…
As for the “yachtsman” that hit your boat…get the law and/or DNR involved.
