Whats in your net?

Got the day off, so me and my buddy went to the bay. Didn’t get there until about 2 hours before low. Kept picking at them thru the turn but finally got a cooler about an hour and a half later. Interesting day though. Caught this Bonnethead and two(at the same time) huge horseshoe crabs in our Tim Wade 8 foot. Only one small tear at the lead line but both times were a tangled mess! Made me think, what interesting things have you all caught in your net while shrimping?

Not in SC but I’ve caught barracudas, small tarpon, and a few different brands of rays, turtles and sharks up to 3-4’. They’ll tear up a $200 net right quick.

That sure is a pretty cooler of shrimp!

Horseshoe crabs can sure tear up a net. That’s a big bonnet head for a net! I’ve caught many terrapin, rays, sharks, crabs, a few gars, a couple sturgeon, a couple small alligators,… never know that you’re going to catch when you throw that net :sunglasses: Old crab traps and other junk too.

A big stingray can do some damage.

Caught a motorcycle once under a bridge in a upstate lake while catching bait! Brought it up to where I could see it and the net tore and it was gone.

I caught a Bat once, the flying kind…

Cuban refugee, nuclear warhead, a bag of deep fried skittles.

Two lit lanterns.

A 10 lb bag of ice… With 11 lbs of ice in it…

Corkman; if you will blow those lanterns out i bet that Skinneej will knock about 4lbs of ice out of that bag. just sayin
