Just a bit out of curiosity. What’s your favorite way to redfish? Do you prefer to troll/pole/float with the tide or anchor? Flats or the bigger waters?
We prefer to either troll or pole around.
Just curious that’s all

I love to sight fish them on the flats but I also love soaking bait deep for the big boys in the summer and fall. Never tried trolling for them but I will have to give it a try… Would paddle tails on jig heads be the best choice?

You got it. Yeah the flats are our friends too

Yeah that’s what I’ve had luck with. Or little curly tail minnows work sometimes.

That’s cool rapchizzle. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions. Just like what they are about…nit about being cool. Cool doesn’t keep sustainable fishing…respecting and doing the right thing does

oh he knows a ‘little’ about sustainable. and fishing.
I have to admit, I’ve never seen so many people, anywhere, so “anti” when it comes to people having t-shirts, stickers, hats or what have you, of vendors of products they use/buy/support. Granted, the only sticker I have on anything I own is on my truck and it’s a McClellanville boat ramp access sticker but I just don’t understand the haters when it comes to people that do have these things. If someone wants to wear a hat or t-shirt or put a sticker on their truck that says “I only catch small fish,” that’s their business, and theirs alone. If someone wants to wrap their entire truck in a Fish Skinz, again, that’s their business and no one else’s. I guess the adage of “haters gonna hate” holds true in every walk of life.
Earn it everyday
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.
Upon further review, I have a tackle box that has a ALX fishing rods sticker on it. Oh the horror…

Well it depends on the size of Red fish I’m going after, schooling fish with small live bait like shrimp and mud minnows can be a lot of fast action, but big live baits on the bottom with a slip weight and circle hooks produce the fish that make me get out the measuring tape. I never caught a red fish out the 20’s using artificial but I like to catch bait so a good 95% of the time I’m using live or fresh bait.
BOATLESS
I haven’t done and live bait fishing in awhile…been getting use to these artificial …just started using them a year and a half ago.
