Looking for a wheel mount for rear for a sit on top. Hate to bust half a Benjamin for a wheel from native, I was wondering if anyone has been successful in mounting a custom wheel, from northern tool or what not…?
You mean like a wheel that is mounted on the back of the skeg? Never tried that one…I’ve made a kayak cart out of PVC before, though…
How?

There are many Youtube videos showing how to make them. Start by getting 2, 8" inflatable tires from Harbor Freight. Find a design you like and go from there. I made one, taking ideas from a couple of different designs.

Curious if you know what I should buy to make the axel and to keep the wheels on? I am going to make a PVC frame that goes into my skuper holes in my sit on top. Also did you use PVC?
I hate the scupper hole carts. Scuppers weren’t engineered for side load stresses. I’ve seen several boats with cracked scuppers and unhappy owners from using these carts.
I like these better.
