When will the water be warm enough for the reds to start hitting the high tide flats?
Last year I heard people catching them in mid April, I saw some fiddlers last weekend in large groups, if the water is there you might catch one now, I know I am filling up my box now

The fish are starting to show up…but just not very active yet. Got this guy this morning on one of mad mikes crab fly’s. saw 3 fish that were cruising but were not actively tailing. Was lucky to connect on this one…
2nd is a crappy pic, but the fish was about 27’ inches. Didn’t take my camera as I didn’t expect to catch a fish, and this photo was a result of me being worried bout dropping my phone in the water!
another couple of weeks and it should be on like donkey kong.

FYI the water felt colder than 60 and my feet went numb. I’m a big P***Y when it comes to cold so I might actually wear my neoprene booties tomorrow!

I walked the flats this morning and saw two. I only got to cast to one of 'em and somehow managed to spook him. They are already on the flats… Going again in the morning after I get off work…!
