when the moon is bright , do the fish bite?

Does anyone have any luck night fishing for trout and reds? Camping at buck hall may 2 and hopefully do some moonlight fishing.anyone willing to share some info, tips, baits that may help.not asking for your spot but a few words of wisdom or even a “this one time we” kinda story would be great. Thanks

I have caught my biggest red and trout at night. This was out of Bushy Park in Yellow House Creek. I fished with live finger mullet under a popping cork. Fished near oyster beds with an outgoing tide. I am pretty sure it was in the fall. Not sure about spring. Fresh water bass fishing works great at night, too

Thanks. I’ve used glow in the dark baits in fresh water.anyone had any luck with the gulp shrimp that glow.any tips/recommendation are greatly appreciated.the moon will be almost full next sat night, anyone have any thoughts on top water trout ?

I’ve done a little night fishing in Awendaw for reds. Mostly in the marsh as soon as the water is 6" deep. My go to bait is 1"-2" sections of cut finger mullet. Obviously it makes sense to use some fiddlers if you can find some. My best time for reds is the marsh edge an hour before dark as the tide is coming in.

Bring some bug spray.
