When will this end?

So when does the redfish bite start heating up again? How about the trout? What water temp indicates the bite is back on?

With the weather getting this cold this week, water temp. must have gotten pretty low by this weekend which is definitely not good for the trout. Will have to wait and see when and if the bite picks back up

Fished this afternoon for a couple hours and caught 4 reds. 2 over slot one in the slot and one dink. Saw one 12-13 inch trout floating dead in the back creeks

When has the bite quit  Fish got to eat every day, just like us.

Cmon Larry. Everyone knows fish are lethargic in this cold azz water. Long story short…We need a week of warm temps. Hi 60’s/70’s.

I’m with Larry. Cold water is the best redfish bite of the year for me. Gotta find them.

Yep, best fishing of the year. No crowds, no gnats, plenty of fish. Just got to change technique with the seasons

The fish do eat, but the hawk will bite. I’m not interested in freezing my tail off in an open boat during the winter. That’s why going to the Florida Keys is in season now. If I can’t wear shorts when I fish, I’ll find something else to do. Honestly folks, the 1 hr. of cleaning the boat and putting away all of the gear requires a thirst for cold adult beverages, not coffee and a 30 minute hot shower to thaw out. I keep a flounder fish for food when I catch one over 20"(rare), so the old days of filling the stringer are way in my past. See you out there in April.

Two small reds on dead shrimp up in the creeks today. Very slow. September or October i would have caught as many as i wanted to on trout trick, gulp this or that, gold spoonse, dos .etc… Im not going anywhere else since im in a kayak so when might i expect this to change? Ive never fished the spring so thats what id like to know about. April?, may? Thanks

March is probably my least favorite month trying to pattern the fish. April to June is outstanding
