They seem scattered and it’s been hindering my fishing hours!

Always menhaden in the upper Ashley river. Find a public pier and cast a net.
I have noticed Haden’s are a little more scarce than usual this year myself. In the Cooper usually loaded with them, but I have to work to find them this year. Low tide I can usually get on them no problem but high tide has been a challenge lately. They aren’t as schooled up as usual.
Guns kill people just like spoons made Rosie O’donell fat.
I fish at least once a week from Toogoodoo out to the Edisto reefs depending on weather, I’ve seen less menhaden this year from May till present than I can ever remember in these areas.
You can’t catch fish on a dry line
All over the ICW this morning from the Harbor to IOP marina

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
In front of Morris Island close to the beach 7 am this morning, they where in a loose school popping all over but most cast only got one or two but the last cast I got a full net, maybe ten cast total. The size is about 5 to 8 inches with most being 6 inches.
what fritz said. that and a million boats riding up and down the ditch.
Look behind Fort Sumter along that beach area towards the Ashley. There were a lot around six inches there yesterday at high tide.

One’s I have found in Wando were small and scattered.

They were popping yesterday on the ICW right next to the connector in 8’ of water. One net throw brought in 75 or so. Kept about 2 dozen to fish with then released the rest.
Keep in mind its best to catch them at first light once the suns up I feel like they can see the net and dive. I also have a slower sinking net I think. I don’t catch them well in water deeper than 12’ or so.
Past 5 days for me they have been behind iop in very good numbers. Best cast for me had probably at least 200 six inchers. Average a couple dozen per cast. At daybreak with a 10’ 5/8 16 lb net. Today at around 10:30 or so there were giant schools near breech the size of an acre or better but i didnt bother casting on them. Today at around 12:30 there was also a big school behind iop again
Thanks. Good luck to ya. See you out there
Here today, gone tomorrow.
