Where are Whiting?

just wondering if anyone knows when and where in the Harbor would be a good place to find whiting? I know I’ve tried Ft. Sumter in the past with minimal sucess using pieces of shrimp

thanks

I caught a boat load of them fishing off the back of my boat beached up on Dewees Island while some of my family played on the beach. I caught them on frozen shrimp and cut mullet at around low tide.

I will be fishing for reds and trout this weekend out of wild dunes marina in my flats boat…any suggestions?

I’ll be out on Sunday back there somewhere. Good luck! I’ll PM you if I find anything good, but I am pretty new at this and have just started to try to find some good spots. I’m hear that the Reds should be moving towards the docks and other structure now that the water is starting to warm up. I have no clue about the trout though…

I’ve been catching a bunch of whiting in Hamlin Creek and off the old Pitt St. Bridge in Mt. Pleasant. Sometimes two at once.

Low tide inside south jetty between dynamite hole and the bend.
Shrimp and cut mullet.
They were thick last Saturday.
