Ive been trying to find a place to catch redfish for a while now. I have found spots to catch other stuff but I’m still looking for some decent reds. If anybody would have any suggestions on where to find some it would be appreciated.
Slot size reds are hard to find at public area fishing holes. Get some boots and wade around oyster bars and eddys on an incoming tide. Once it’s slack and beginning to start outgoing you’ll have the best luck.

Under a bridge.
Lots of bridges around here, most with some kind of access.
Doesn’t need to be a big bridge.
If you are in the Beaufort Area the hwy 21 Whale Branch bridge on the beaufort side of river has always been a good spot. Actually the Trout fishing there is better than the spot tail. Best 2 hours before and after dead low. Also I’ve seen a few pulled in from the dock at Steel Bridge (combahee off hwy 21) and then again at Wiggins. Dead shrimp on the bottom. Good Luck!!

Demetre Park on James Island, or Mt. Pleasant Park near the bridge.
