Where do you wax

First, get your mind out of the gutter, that is gross.

Second, I tried to search but I constantly get ODBC database connection errors.

OK, the real question. Where you you guys wax your boat? I ask because I believe you are not supposed to wax in the sunlight. Plus, orbital polishers are very load and not neighbor friendly. So, is there a good place, that has electric for the DA, to spend some time waxing a boat. My garage is 2 car, but it has 2 separate single doors so I can’t maneuver enough to comfortably do it in there.

With the boat in one stall is there enough room to pull the trailer tounge around and set the boat diagonal in the garage?

If waxing a boat upsets your neighbors you need to move!!! Or have them move! Does it bother them when you go fishing early in the morning?

Absolutely everything today offends or upsets someone…its the time we live in.

That offends me.

The boat is a Robalo R180 so it is pretty chunky and in there pretty tight. I actually have a winch pull it in because it is so tight. Literally, there is less than 3/4 inch clearance on either side of the fenders.

Anyway, in these subdivisions that have houses so close, people get upset with noisy neighbors. it just is what it is. Unfortunately, a move would probably equal a divorce and a move, just for me  I was hoping someone knew a nice park that had a big pavilion with power that I could pull the boat under or something like that.

send the neighbors to their safe room, like they have in college now. In school I was offended many times-- by the coach and the chem professors mostly. Their attitude was grow some! The only safe room served PBR.

pull it to a nice apartment complex, set up in their wash area, act like you belong.

or move.

Really, can’t even wax your own boat in your own driveway? How about take a day off and do it when everyone is at work? Jeez, sensitive neighbors.

“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF NOT BEING ABLE TO WAX YOUR CAR OR BOAT IN YOUR OWN DRIVEWAY, IN ANY NEIGHBORHOOD. CANT LEAVE BOATS IN DRIVEWAY OVERNIGHT, CANT LEAVE GARAGE DOORS OPEN, MUST MOW TWICE A WEEK, NO BALD SPOTS IN THE YARD, AND EVEN HAVING TO KEEP WEEDS OUT OF FLOWER BEDS, BUT NEVER NO WAXING???
OH WELL!!!

That’s why we have 80 of ours, and few thousand more of others surrounding us. I ain’t living with those rules. I don’t wax boats or trucks either. Heck with that.

I wouldn’t think to ask but you’d know the situation better than anyone…have you asked the neighbor(s) if they’d mind one day of you running the polisher to wax the boat? I’d assume you’re only doing it once per year so shouldn’t be that big of a nuisance. On second thought, ask them to help you do it by hand first, then maybe they won’t mind the noise! If you can do it at your house, buy a pop-up canopy at Dick’s or Walmart when they go sale to shade the area you’re working on. Beyond that, I’m at a loss on “where”, maybe some business would consider letting you do it on the side of their property for a small fee/contribution.

Bring it to us. We will take care of it for you. We can have you in and out in a few days. By the time you buy everything you need the cost will not be much more then buying all the equipment and materials.

Take the boat to a detailer once a year for the heavy waxing/compounding and such.

Then use WAX as U Dry by Eagle One after each use. Spray and wipe off.
The more often you use it the easier it is to use.
$4.96 at Wally world.

Takes me less than 10 minutes to wipe the boat down at the ramp and you can get the scum line before it dries on.

Take it to any DIY Spray wash place. Most have tall bays for boats. enjoy the shade and wax on, wax off.
