Y73 today, not much happening other than the usual suspects. Water was choppy heading out so we didn’t see much top action. Plenty of cudas following everything to the top. The ride in was smooth sailing

Looking for the big one

we tried the Comanche nothing much going on there. had intentions to get out to try and troll but the weather man was way off…AGAIN! ended up to the south in about 100ft live bottom and filled the box with vermillion sea bass, couple of triggers and some pinks. layed down nice in the late afternoon but we had one crew member who wasn’t feeling so hot!

Covered up with lots of work and family time, but still trying to go if only the stars would align for me. It’ll happen, but have to be patient and keep priorities right ya’ know.

Headed out friday 100 ft and trolled over live bottom for a while hoping for a stray wahoo. One large amberjack (which almost spooled us) and a small barracuda so decided to bag the trolling and go grocery shopping. Tried out my new colored per depth spectra which was nice to try and target fish suspended in the water column. Scamp, liners, bsb, triggers and even a nice little cobia. Scamp were hitting live pinfish like niedermeier on a bucket of chicken.Patchy fog on the way in got pretty thick at times so Im glad I had radar.

Been in texas for 3 weeks. Planning on fishing hard if the weather starts to cooperate now that I’m back.

Fished last Thursday, got 3 wahoo all on high speed. Lost a 4th. All 3 were around 40 lbs. 150-200 ft

Saturday was beautiful. 80 degree air temp, 75 water temp in 100 ft. Limit of b-liners, couple big triggers, couple seabass, grunts, few AJ with one over 50 lb. and a bonus ~8 ish lb November dolphin on a bottom rig. :sunglasses:

It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!

Spent Veterans Day out in the black banks area. Boated 1 nice gag, two limits of b-liners, a couple of triggers and 2 very respectable reef donkeys. Seas were perfect.

I depend on charity of friends to take me offshore.

But lately, I’ve been working and recovering from that pesky prostate cancer surgery. 3 more days on the catheter. 3 loooooong days.

Hopefully I can post a report Saturday.

I am planning a trip for Saturday also. Hope the weather man is right this time.

Just got this from NMFS

Due to lack of reports on CharlestonFishing.com, there will be emergency closures administratively executed for all marine fisheries within the Federal Management regime, effective immediately. This is to protect species that are now obviously endangered. Thank you for your continued faith in us.

Thanks. I can’t wait to get rid of the cath and piss bag. I hope I don’t suffer from incontinence…that’d suck.

We had our first child 3.5 months ago…I am not doing much these days except work and changing diapers. I miss fishing sometimes but a smile from my daughter makes everything better.

Well deerhunter, it won’t be too many years and you can watch her smile as she brings in her first fish! That’s the best of both worlds. Our children, and grandchildren, are a blessing to our lives.
