I’m looking for places to buy seed in Charleston. Cheaper the better as it’s just for deer. I’m look for any place that sells oats, radish, cowpeas, millet, clover, etc.
If you have prices for any of the above I would appreciate it if you would share but a number or store name will suffice if it can be found on google.
It’s a little late isn’t it? We’re planting again in late October, winter peas and oats. I put cowpeas in back in June.
I noticed Tractor Supply had cowpeas 50 lbs for $35 the other day. No tax at the feed stores.
How big of a place are you thinking?

It is not to late to plant cow peas. They will be up in 4 or 5 days if they get rained on. I would move that planting date of the oats more to mid September rather than late October.
We’re a little late with everything this year due to time restraints. I just disassembled and correctly (mostly) reassembled the plow Saturday… So we just started plowing thought about 1/3 of our food plots have a decent crop of clover keeping the deer busy. I was thinking of throwing down some peas or radish hoping they would pop up fast for some temporary forage until it’s time to plant a proper fall crop.
I hunt about 300 acres with a range of about 8-16 acres being planted from season to season. I would probably only need seed for about 3 acres.
