I’m looking to buy a hand full of crab pots. Who makes them locally? I know a lot of stores in the area carry them, but I’m looking to go to the source.

This is beaufort, but I don’t know where to get them in Charleston. $19 sounds like a deal worth driving for.

Thanks man, these might work! Anybody know of someone else a little closer?

If it’s legit, $19 per pot is worth the drive. Wholesale price on a quality pot will run you at least $30.

23Sailfish, it took me awhile looking on that crappy map attached to the Craigslist add, lol.
Anyway, Huey, contact Beaufort Boat and Dock Supply in Beaufort, SC and ask them. They are top notch and at least worth a call. 843-986-0552.
Good luck.

A crab pot just isn’t worth spending $30 for. Being from the area listed above (where the $19 crab pots are coming from) I just have a hard time swallowing the prices here for stuff like that.
Anyway, show your wife pictures of the crab pot Christmas trees from Harvey & Sons Net & Twine in Smyrna, NC and she might let you make that trip for a couple crab pots…plus a few hundred $$$ for some Core Sound Christmas Trees! They are pretty cool. Used to have a few on my dock when I still lived there. That was back when they first started making them…popularity, and prices, have gone up since then.
If you don’t mind driving to Beaufort (SC), this place usually has them. They are friendly people and have reasonable prices. I’d call first to be sure they have some in stock before making the drive.
