Trying some where new on Saturday for flounder. Where would you try either Stono inlet or fish the folly river or both? I have done trolling, drifting and casting in the past but have never fished around here for flounder.
I don’t know about being on the boat but there was a 20" and 24" flounder (several other smaller ones) caught 5/19 at the Mt Pleasant Pier. Mud minnows on a carolina rig on a rising tide on the first half of the pier.
Anywhere there’s bait or structure or both, you’ll typically find flounder. Folly river has lots of great spots and has produced nice fish over the years for us. I don’t fish the Stono for flounder, so I wouldn’t know about that.
