Where to get Sharks off Edisto beach

My friends got a beach house this weekend and there will be to many people for the boat. Im hoping to have some night time shark fishing entertainment. Can anyone help with where on the beach might be the best spot to catch some I can figure out the obvious walking out and casting something nasty in the water but is anywhere off the beach good or is one side better than the other?

The front beach is probably your best bet right now. As far as bait goes the fresher the better, don’t just toss some nasty old bait out. Catch a whiting and send out half of it. Incoming tide will have the best luck. Catch 'em up.

Seen a guy catch a 5-1/2 to 6’ Lemon down on the point, in front of the channel marker last Thursday. Dont know what kind of bait he was using. Once he got the shark on the beach and cut the leader, he was released to fight another day. Good luck!

Go to 3300 access parking. Take right down beach and cross next groin. On dune there will be 3 palm trees. Straight out in front of them about as far as you can throw it is a deep channel. 5-6oz to hold bottom. A long cast will work with a big nasty hunk a mullet. Some folks yak a bait out about 150yds there. Have been some nice ones landed there. I know of a couple 150-168# a few years back. It’s also a good whiting hole. Current rips pretty had there.
