can anyone help me
I am trying to figure out the best place to put in at Moultrie.
I usually fish salt but want to explore the lake.
I live in Summerville and have put in by the tailrace below the dam…but don’t want to deal w/ the locks
I have a 18.9 bay boat so I need a decent ramp with a dock to tie off to. How is this Hatchery landing??

I went in at richardsons(Bonneau Beach)
First time on lake and I have to tell you that it was a bit intimidating…it was like being at the jetties in the harbor
my new hot maps was pretty good and certainly you could not transverse the lake without something similar…but the shore line seemed tough to access…basically cause I was a wimp… map showed 10 feet and depth finder showed 7…with all the stumps I jus didn’t have the balls first time out.
I ran from end to end and one question I could use help with is the entrance to the diversion canal…mapping shows pretty shallow and there are a number of “Rocks” markers…/
anybody want to weigh in on that stretch of water
Any other tips with this lake…I mean in the salt it actually seems easier…your not going to run into an oyster bar all of a sudden in 20 ft of water
Had a good time though…and a lot faster on the boat clean up!!
