Heres the new pioneer sportfish 177 if you havnt seen it yet, dont know if any dealers have them quite yet. they kinda 1 upped the 175 class of center consoles this year. they took one down to show at the miami show but it never made it back, sold at the show.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Trout do you know what the differences in the 175 and 177 are as far as specs? Is it just mostly cosmetic changes? I ran across a really good deal on a new 175 so I was just wondering.

I’ve not seen the official specs, I was told 4" higher on the gunnells, 8" wider, more carolina flare on the bow, more freeboard to move around in , smaller center console with the same hieght t-top.

The folks i know with the 175 seem really happy as well around here from the creeks out to the nearshore reefs on nice days.

In the process of setting my Scout 175 to sell. Less than 20 hours on it. Good little boat, but looking for something else. The Pioneer is a really well built boat, as is the Scout. Personally, I would probably go with the Pioneer. Sea Hunt is nice as well. It is a good day when you are stuck with this type of decision to have to make.

I didn’t look at the scout, but I looked at the Sea Hunt and the Pioneer last year when I was shopping and if I had not found the deal I found on my boat, I would have gone with the Pioneer 175.
